Alright, so theoretically you’re the critically adored, publicly adored musician type. You know – the Mac DeMarco type. Say your new album did well, and say you were now the sound of Etsy, if you could stomach the thought. Imagine all that, and then imagine promoting your new single, it’s the best track off your album, and it’s called ‘Chamber of Reflection’. How would you go about doing such a thing? I’ll give you a second to think about it. Right, got it? Good. By now, you’ll have come to the same conclusion as ol’ Mac, that the only way to do justice to such a great track would be to slow it down 30% and break out the video recorder for Instant Nostalgia 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Whilst my poor, simple words can only approximate what happens above, the video is (as far as we can tell) a totally accurate representation of itself, so go watch it, dummy.
Salad Days is out now via Captured Tracks.
