After much time has been spent recording and re-recording their second album, Klaxons have finally released their first original recording since last decade. Seeing as some bands don’t even last a year in the music business these days you could be forgiven for thinking that Klaxons had packed it all in or worse – got lost in a world of ketamine and synthesizers with no return.

Anywho, the boys are back with new track Flashover which will hopefully make an appearance on the as of yet untitled second album. The track seems to be a relative of Magick with a smidgen of Four Horsemen chucked in for good measure. What can be said about the track is that it is a good sign that the worries of a terrible second album can be put to rest.

The lads have the following summer dates lined up;

Southend Chinnerys (May 26)
Colchester Arts Centre (27)
Plymouth White Rabbit (June 2)
Gloucester Guildhall (3)
Paris Nouveau Casino (15)
Glasgow King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (July 13)
Manchester Ruby Lounge (14)
London Village Underground (27)

With both Reading and Leeds in August.
