Yuck – Rubber

Yuck are trying so hard to sound American you could quite easily forget they’re from London, I did, in fact forget that whilst drowning myself in the sonic beauty of their alter ego Yu(c)k. Hell, I even forgot when In saw them live. So you’ll be forgiven given the wholly American sound displayed by Yuck in both forms.

Their latest single ‘Rubber’ practically describes itself through it’s waveform, a constant melancholic shoegaze drone rides high above faded out vocals and half considered guitar squeals until it breaks through and turns in to a “hands in the air, crying to the sky” epic like you never believed, taking bits of Pavement, My Bloody Valentine and a healthy love of American angst never sounded so good.

Check it out above, if you like.
