See Michael Cera playing with Mister Heavenly, RIGHT THIS SECOND!

To the casual viewer, this might just look like budgeted indie flick, go-to awkward guy, Michael Cera, filling in bass duty’s for Sub Pop supergroup (comprising of members of Les Savy Fav, Unicorns and Modest Mouse) Mister Heavenly. But under more scrutiny, its apparent a transformation is at hand. Its like Cera has reverse engineered the fourth wall, and proceeded to kick the shit out of it, turning himself from teen emperor of toe curl, into the real life Scott Pilgrim in the process. If the video is proof of anything, its that picking Cera wasn’t for publicity/vanity reasons. The tunes come thick and fast, zig zagging from friendly afro beat shuffles, to chugging Dead Weather gloom punk, throwing in a few jaunty Little Joy-esque numbers for good measure, showcasing not only what’s sure to be an amazing album (out 2011 dontchaknow), but Cera’s accomplished fretwork. God’s speed neurotic prince…
