My Bloody Valentine – M B V

We may well have waited 22 years for its release, but M B V offers up a refreshing alternative to the usual circle of hype-failure-hype by actually being as brilliant as people hoped it would be. Split into three sections, M B V takes us through a Loveless-esque opening, a dreamy, Isn’t Anything style middle (including the best pop song of the year) and ends with a crushing, pummeling three song coda to take us out of their world once again. Frankly, if you don’t already own M B V, you’ve got to wonder what you’re doing with your life.
