The second part of Phil Elverum’s 2012 campaign for outright musical excellency, and follow up to the achingly beautiful and recently recommended Clear Moon, Ocean Roar is as musically triumphant as it’s recent predecessor, feeling like a true brother, despite being an altogether heavier, more intricate beast. I like it rather a bit, and you should too.
