Today is my birthday, I am spending it listening to records and remaining indoors. Earlier I had a bacon sandwich, it was quite the treat. R.E.M, who know how to celebrate a birthday in greater style than I, are taking their soon to be 25 year old record ‘Document’ not only for a standard issue boozy night on the town with complete strip club experience (tits and that), but will also gift it a deluxe reissue to call its own. What would such a positively unheard of thing include? Well, if you said “the original album, remastered and with some sort of added bonus material”, you’d be correct, only this time, rather than traveling down the old ‘n busted b-sides and rarities route, they’re including a previously unheard live recording.
