Blur say "No new LP" but mention "We've got songs" for simultaneous hatred and lust

Oh you guys, tempting us with your glorious festival reunion and then that new single. You’re quite the strumpets, offering yourselves up like that. Nevertheless you’ve decided to tear apart the hearts of millions of former brit-poppers everywhere by deciding to not bother with a new full length LP after all, boo! Still, when Blur close a door they open a window and haven’t ruled out the possibility of more stand alone singles. Read the quote from this weeks NME below

“I’m definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches,” he explained. “I love the no pressure aspect.”

With plans to work on another opera with Jamie Hewlett and Alan Moore, plus more Gorillaz releases, Albarn was keen to stress that fans may have to wait for more Blur songs, but they would come eventually.

“We can’t do it all the time,” he stressed. “So I don’t want anyone to think there’s an album coming soon, it’s not possible, but we’ve got songs!”

Oh lawd Damon, you tease.
