Alright, so, imagine for just a moment that you’re one of those hip young cats looking to make a way into the blow-job infested waters of the professional music industry. Are you there? Great. Now, you’re going to need a name, and Butthole Surfers has long since been claimed. Wait, what’s your real name? Chazwick Bundick? That’s clearly a little too fantastic, you’re going to need to cushion the impact of that blow slightly.

And thus, the Toro Y Moi moniker was born, and left of Mr Bundick free to embark on his well noted career as, at first, a purveyor of chillwave (Causers of This), in a time when people didn’t instantly spit in your face after hearing that word, and then as a funk based synth pop figure (Underneath the Pine). Time has been kind to those records, but Chaz isn’t one to sit still (see Les Sins), oh no, because he’s back to make some more money showcase his newest musical wares with a new album entitled Anything in Return. This is the first single from that album, which comes off like a experiment regarding just how many sounds you can fit into your funk flavoured slow jam before things get too messy to handle. It’s called ‘So Many Details’ and as has become custom, is avaliable to be heard above. Here’s a track listing.

01. Harm in Change
02. Say That
03. So Many Details
04. Rose Quartz
05. Touch
06. Cola
07. Studies
08. High Living
09. Grown Up Calls
10. Cake
11. Day One
12. Never Matter
13. How’s It Wrong

Anything in Return is set for arrival on the 22rd of January, 2013.
