The 31st of August, the day upon which the earth itself shook upon catching wind of the new Los Campesinos! album (read all about it). So here we are, a whole 11520 minutes later, what do we have to show for our fandom? Why, what else! It’s the very first track from that fresh-from-the womb LP; coming at you both as a series of images played in quick succession (above) and as one of those newfangled MP3’s the kids are always talking about these days (below).
“By Your Hand” is the time tested blend of lust, failing relationships, disgust, spectacular lyrics and existential crisis that Los Campesinos! have carved out for themselves over the last five years or so. It’s also quite the little “grower” (a phrase which is typically shorthand for “I made myself like it), as proven by this graph right here.
It’s got a pretty massive chorus too , for those of you planning on going to their November tour. “WHAT? THERE’S A NOVEMBER TOUR?” I imagine you ask, for the purposes of this post. Yes, there’s a November tour. Here are some details.
